A variety of filling agents are available to fill up deep lines and wrinkles on the face by means of skin injections. Some of these may require an allergy test prior to being used. We use only FDA approved agents for this purpose. The effects take only a few days and last for a variable period of time ranging from 3-4 months to a couple of years. Autologous fat (your own body fat) can also be used as a filling agent.
As we age, our skin becomes more susceptible to wrinkles and sagging. Sun exposure and years of muscle movement (i.e., smiling, chewing, and squinting) also contribute to tissue breakdown of the skin. Fortunately, there are innovative cosmetic procedures to help ease this aging process and sustain one’s youth.
Facial fillers, which are also known as “dermal fillers” and “injectables,” are temporary to long-lasting solutions administered through a few tiny injections on specific areas of the face.
The fillers are used for the following purposes:
- Correct moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds
- Cheek Augmentation
- Lip Augmentation
- Nose Augmentation
- Fill hollows in face due to weight loss or age
- Facial Scultpting
- Facial Rejuvenation
Various types of facial fillers are available; wrinkle reduction and lip augmentation. A qualified doctor or dermatologist can work with you to determine which facial filler will provide you with optimal and rejuvenating results. Natural or synthetic fillers can be used as per the patients requirement.
