Dr. Ashok Seth’s contributions in the field of Cardiology, especially Interventional Cardiology, have been widely recognised in India as well as across the world. Throughout his career of more than 30 years, he has pioneered multiple angioplasty techniques, Direct Atherectomy, Angioscopy, Stents, Thrombectomy devices, Drug-Eluting Stents, Impella heart support devices for failing hearts, Bioabsorbable Stents and Trans Aortic Valve Infusion, and successfully implemented them in India and other parts of Asia Pacific. He is also recognised for performing one of the highest numbers of angiographies and angioplasty which has been mentioned in the ‘Limca Book of Records’.
